Jennifer Bass, O.D.

Dr. Bass was born and raised in Elizabethtown, IL where she graduated from Hardin County High School. After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree from Southeast Missouri State University in 1998, she attended Indiana University School of Optometry. After graduating in 2002, Dr. Bass began seeing patients at ProVision. In 2006, she purchased the practice from Dr. Edward Perry.

Dr. Bass enjoys practicing full-scope optometry, which includes glasses, contact lenses and ocular health. She is particularly interested in educating patients on how eye health corresponds to overall health, especially in high-risk groups such as diabetics. She is experienced in treating glaucoma and dry eye disease, as well as managing macular degeneration care, cataract surgery and LASIK patients.

Dr. Bass lives in Mt. Vernon with her husband, Jimmy. They are active in their church’s Creative Arts Ministry where Dr. Bass is often the Online Service Host. In her infrequent spare time, she enjoys relaxing at home coloring, writing and spending time with her family.
